Bengaluru and Hyderabad can support business and technology travel. Lucknow gives the launch a strong Uttar Pradesh connection. IndiGo\u2019s Chief Strategy Officer, Aloke Singh, has been quoted in the press release as saying that Noida International Airport is strategically positioned on the Yamuna Expressway and will be the new gateway for western Uttar Pradesh along with the NCR. He also noted that large metropolitan regions in India are maturing to support multiple airports, and IndiGo will serve all three airports in the NCR: IGI Airport, Hindon and Noida International Airport.<\/p>

This point is central to the whole story. Delhi-NCR is now moving into a multi-airport phase. IGI Airport will remain the major aviation hub. Hindon has served a specific regional role.
